LEAP

Learning Enhancement and Advancement Project

Our LEAP Project recognises that learning cannot thrive where children lack safe, functional, and inspiring spaces to learn. Designed to strengthen education outcomes across both urban informal settlements and rural communities, LEAP focuses on transforming the environments in which teaching and learning take place. RCK partners with schools to build and upgrade essential infrastructure, including STEM laboratories, libraries, resource centers, classrooms, and sanitation facilities, ensuring that students and teachers have access to the tools they need to succeed.

Your Questions Answered

  • LEAP (Learning Environment Advancement Project) is our way of ensuring schools are places where both students and teachers can truly thrive. We focus on building and improving safe, practical, and inspiring spaces, so every student feels welcome, encouraged, and ready to reach their full potential.

  • We choose schools by looking at where the need is greatest, places with gaps in infrastructure or the most potential for positive change. We also make sure every school we pick is a good fit for RCK’s mission to expand educational opportunities where they’re needed most.

  • LEAP improves learning outcomes by making sure students and teachers have the spaces and resources they need to do their best. When learning spaces are safe, welcoming, and full of the right materials, students are more likely to stay engaged, feel motivated, and really absorb what they’re being taught. LEAP helps turn schools into places where learning comes easier and everyone has the chance to succeed.

  • Schools are selected based on the level of need, such as gaps in essential facilities, and where LEAP can have the most impact. We also ensure each chosen school aligns with RCK’s mission to expand educational opportunities in underserved communities.

  • Anyone can help LEAP make a real difference by supporting projects like building science labs, libraries, digital learning centers, or toilets. The specific costs vary depending on the school, location, and what’s needed most. These projects are often made possible through fundraising efforts, and if you’d like details on current needs or cost estimates, just reach out to us at hello@rootcausekwanzacbo.org. Every bit of support goes toward creating better, more inspiring learning spaces for students.
